Forgive me.) 💚 Here’s a few options, beseeching your awareness & participation in wake of our international crisis in the Amazon Rainforest, please consider: • Using search engine Ecosia.org (a search engine that plants a tree for every 45 searches you do.) • Donating to the Rainforest Action Network to protect an acre of the Amazonian rainforest. • Donating to the Rainforest Trust to help buy land in the rainforest. (Since 1988, the organization has saved over 23 million acres.) • Reducing your paper and wood consumption. (Visit Rainforest Alliance; you can find a list of rainforest-safe products on their website.) • Reducing or eliminating your beef intake. • Exploring the Change.org petitions. • Donating to Amazon Watch (an organization that protects the rainforest, defends Indigenous rights and works to address climate change.) • Donating to the Amazon Conservation Team, (they list exactly what your money goes toward. You can help plant trees, sponsor education, protect habitats, buy a solar panel, preserve Indigenous lands and more.) • Donating to One Tree Planted, which works to stop deforestation In the Amazon Rainforest. • Signing Greenpeace’s petition telling the Brazilian government to save the Amazon rainforest and protect the home of indigenous people. • Donating and/or volunteering to protect wildlife affected by the fire. A quick search on Ecosia.org should provide you with options. This is it you guys, this battle has been fought for decades – we have to commit, and we have to be the ones who take the responsible steps to end it.
